About Our ClientOur client is a successful, profitable and renowned player in the QSR space. With operations in more than fifty countries and a vast retail presence across several key brands, they have delivered consecutive record years in revenue and profitability. Over the last few decades, they have built and acquired major QSR brands and are looking to widen their brand and market dominance. The VP, Global Brand Marketing role will be primary brand custodian for our client's brands. This is a newly created, permanent role.Job DescriptionThe VP, Global Brand Marketing will report to the Global CMO and manage a global distributed team of brand marketers with an expected direct headcount of 5-8.
This is a leadership role that requires the individual to be hands on across all touch points ranging from brand design, brand strategy to social strategies. This role will also provide guidance to Franchisees and other brands owned by the group.
The measures of success in this role are:
- Team leadership: hire, coach and lead a global brand team across Asia, EMEA and US.
- Creative: lead the development of creative materials for stores and other distribution channels, including digital, social, signage, packaging etc.
- Corporate identity: drive creation of corporate identify materials, including brand guidelines
- Campaigns: be the key POC for all global creative briefs and integrated campaigns
- Stakeholder management: work with the CMO and other leaders in the group to connect brand development and the ambitious business growth plans
- Interim CMO: from time to time, you might be required to take on CMO stints with acquired or owned brands under the group.
- Employer branding: ensure consistent employer branding and strict compliance of such guidelines within the franchisee marketing teams as well.
Peers to this role will be leads for consumer marketing, product experience, Communications, CX and Insights.The Successful Applicant
- Masters or Bachelors' Degree in Marketing, Business, or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum twelve years' experience in brand management, with at least five years in a highly scaled QSR brand. Candidates who have launched US/European QSR brands in APAC from ground zero will find this a good fit.
- Five or more years in a line management role, with at least five direct reports.
- For candidates not from QSR, experience in businesses with a significant retail presence would be highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of design, packaging within the QSR space.
- Analytical personality and ability to develop campaigns using in-house and external customer insights.
- Flexibility to travel, up to 50%

You will lead the setup of the global brand function in key markets and play a pivotal role in hiring and developing talent.
