CRK's Realm of Apathy update has brought a few new features, including the new "Beast" rarity type. The Beasts are a group of ancient primordial heroes who were once emissaries of the Divine Creators. But they fell from grace and turned to evil.
Beast cookies are currently the hardest to obtain, as they are the rarest. What's more, they can be boosted up to 6 stars and their appearance can be improved for each 2-star increment.
