This Ruby Red Grapefruit & Jalapeno co*cktail recipe is an absolute must for adults who are fansof citrus and spicy flavors! You’ll mix up two different flavors of vodka, fresh squeezed ruby red grapefruit juice, and a bit of simple syrup to enjoy this drink bursting with flavor.
I’m becoming rather obsessed with the combination of citrus and spicy flavors. I’m drawn to them in restaurants both in foods and drinks, and at home. For us, this typically this means orange, lemon, or lime, paired with some sort of pepper.
But grapefruit? It’s not usually on my radar. When I was first introduced to grapefruits many, many years ago, I thought they were…well, disgusting. Why would anyone voluntarily eat a grapefruit? I found nothing enjoyable about them.
Nowadays, I’m much kinder to the highly acidicgrapefruit. I’ve grown to enjoy grapefruit, especially the Ruby Red Grapefruit with its sweet and tart flavors. But, even still, grapefruit is usually lower on my list of favorite citrus fruits.
ThisRuby Red Grapefruit & Jalapeno co*cktail recipe though? This is so good that I feel bad for dismissing the grapefruit for so many years. It might not seem like grapefruit and jalapeno go together, but it does…and it does incredibly well.
To make this easyco*cktail recipe, you’ll need just a few ingredients:Deep Eddy Ruby Red Vodka,Svedka Grapefruit & Jalapeño Vodka, some freshly squeezedRuby Red Grapefruit Juice, a bit of simple syrup, and ice.
All of this is shaken up in a co*cktail shaker and then poured into your glasses. In the photos, you’ll see a sprig of fresh rosemary as a garnish, but a slice of jalapeno would be perfect too. A wedge of ruby red grapefruit looks lovely as well.
