THIS MORNING... I HAVE THE PLEASURE TO KICK OFF OUR THINGS TO GO SEGMENT... HOSTED BY ME! EACH WEEKEND... WE'LL GIVE YOU A LOOK INTO THE EVENTS GOING ON ACROSS OUR REGION. FROM NORTHERN NEW YORK... TO ALL ACROSS VERMONT... I GOT YOU COVERED ON THINGS TO DO. Happening in our region this Saturday, it's opening weekend at the Common Ground Center in Starksboro. Feel free to come by with your friends and family to help open the outdoor retreat for the season. Meals and lodging will be provided to all who help. A full agenda is planned with yoga, breakfast, family activities, service projects, and a wood-fired pizza dinner for anyone who participates. It's sure to be a fun day with lots to do, if you want to get out and enjoy some nice spring weather. Also, happening today in southern Vermont, the Phoenix presents Music on the Mountain in Ludlow. Doors open at 2 PM for a music from Anders Osbourne, Dogs in a Pile, and Saints and Liars. All the proceeds go to a good cause - the Divided Sky Foundation, which helps people recover from substance use disorder. The concert will be held at Jackson Gore Resort, at the base of Okemo Mountain, right after a 5K fun run, also for Divided Sky Foundation. There is a suggested donation of $20, but if you participate in the Fun Run, you can get in for free. Guests are encouraged to brings chairs and picnic blankets, and vendors are offering food and zero-proof beverages. The concert runs until 7, so there will be lots of music to enjoy. If you're looking for something to do in northern New York today, there is a card and collectible show happening at the Champlain Centre Mall in Plattsburgh from 10 to 5. There will be more than 75 vendor tables, and admission is free all day. The show features all kinds of cards and collectibles to choose from - including sports cards, Pokemon cards, comic books, vintage video games, and much more. There are also activities to do, including a Pokemon coloring contest, Mario Kart Tournaments, Cosplay, and a raffle. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the JCEO Backpack food-insecure elementary school student
