Mollie is one of the fastest-growing payment service providers in Europe. Our mission is to simplify payments for businesses of all sizes. We have grown exponentially over the last few years and are looking for a Manager of Total Rewards to join our team in Amsterdam.

The OpportunityReporting into the VP People, you will be responsible for evolving our total rewards strategy in alignment with our overall company strategy. You will work closely with our HR teams and business leaders to get the necessary context and inputs to shape the future of our total rewards approach, while having a significant impact on the overall employee experience. We are looking for a self starter, someone who can enable strategy but can also jump into the details and be hands on. We deeply value the ability to simplify and make the topic of total rewards as accessible as possible to our Mollies. If this sounds like you, then read on!

What You'll Be Doing

  • Establishing and implementing our total rewards philosophy and helping leaders and employees understand it in the simplest of terms, highlighting the value to our Mollies
  • Reviewing our job structure and leveling and making proposal on way forward
  • Consolidating our benefits in all of our markets and simplifying our benefits administration
  • Working with our leaders to select the right compensation data sets to shape our salary bands
  • Simplifying and making our end of year processes - promotions, performance and salary reviews as seamless as possible
  • Review our variable pay approach and make recommendations on how to consolidate our approach, while having the greatest impact on our Mollies.

What You'll Bring

  • Influencing and building the business case to evolve rewards in a compelling manner that makes sure our stakeholders give inputs and takes them along on the journey
  • Strong communication skills, being able to ‘talk’ reward to all levels of the company, from our supervisory board, all the way to down to our graduate Mollies
  • Collaboration - you’ll need to partner with Finance, Legal, Business Leaders, and ofcourse our internal people team members to be successful.
  • You will need to roll up your sleeves and really dig in. While you will have team members to support you, you will need to switch quite regularly from being strategic, to getting into the operational details; we are a scale up after all, so working this way is just a reality
  • It would be really great if you have some knowledge of local compensation and benefits laws and regulations, especially in the Dutch market. While this wouldn’t be a deal breaker if you don’t have this experience, be prepared to highlight how you would quickly get up to speed on these regulations.

What you have:

  • You are a Total Rewards guru: You must have a comprehensive understanding of Total Rewards including compensation, benefits, well-being and mobility. Must have experience working with various European countries. Experience in Fin-Tech is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communicator and relationship builder: You will be working and partnering with colleagues at all levels of Mollie so it’s important you have excellent communication skills and that you also adopt an end-user mindset….you think like your stakeholders!
  • Data focused and analytical: You love accurate data and numbers, and not only that but know how to translate complex data into simple, easy to follow solutions with your analytical mindset that tells the story you are trying to get across.
  • Confident with challenging the status quo: We are a growing team and company so ideally you have a creative mindset and are comfortable with challenging the way things are currently done and look to drive enhancements and improvements where possible.
  • Team Player: A unique individual, hopefully with a bit of humor, a lot of patience and a service minded attitude. A true team player who’s up for a challenge.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: Mollie has undertaken rapid growth... this means a lot needs to built, and we don’t always have the historical context we would like, so you must be ok with working with ambiguity whilst we look to bring in some more structure! In fact it will be your job to bring this structure.
